Performance, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Navigate using GPS to remote field locations with high accuracy, consistency, and responsiveness
  • Operate advanced field gear including GPS receiver, pipe locator, survey pack, & handheld PDA
  • Capture multiple data streams and troubleshoot, wearing backpack and carrying probes daily
  • Walk long distances in above ground pipeline Right-of-Ways (ROW) across all terrains throughout U.S.
  • Review/download documents of record. Prepare custom reports, daily project and safety checklists
  • Perform seamless coordination for customers, team members and logistics with fluid scheduling
  • Maintain and transport electronics and multiple arrangements of equipment between various locations
  • Operate and preserve company vehicles, rentals, communications and all data
  • Follow safe work practices, company standards and customer protocol
  • Advancement is expected – ability to obtain company/industry certifications (company sponsored)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather; heavy travel throughout U.S for defined periods
  • Previous corrosion, cathodic protection, project management, and scheduling experience
  • Solid organizational skills, able to prioritize and track multiple projects concurrently
  • Positive attitude, teachable – brings continuous improvement to role and company

Education & Work Experience
  • Technical Degree considered an asset
  • Requires strong mechanical, electronics and troubleshooting skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC Skills
  • Familiarity in surveying, line locating, GPS, ATV and boating experience a plus

Travel Requirements
  • Clean driver’s license with ability to secure passport.
  • Expect up to 12 hours per day during away periods. No more than 24 days straight before time off periods.
  • Average 175-195 days per year in the field. Except for training, time home is time off.

 


Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
